Chandrayan -3 launched |
The main goal of the Chandrayaan 3 project, which is being carried out by ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization), is to deploy a lander and a rover in the highlands near the south pole of the Moon in 23rd August 2023 and to demonstrate end-to-end landing and roving capabilities. Numerous scientific measurements will be taken both from orbit and on the ground. A propulsion module and a lander/rover are included. The lander/rover will be comparable to Chandrayaan 2's Vikram rover, with enhancements to aid ensure a secure landing. The propulsion module, which will orbit the Moon and serve as a communications relay satellite, will lift it into lunar orbit.
In the beginning of 2019, Chandrayaan-2, the second series of India's lunar mission, was launched, however it was unable to make the intended gentle landing on the Moon's surface. The lander lost contact with the ground stations at a distance of 2.1 kilometers from the Moon's surface, causing the ISRO's unmanned mission to fail to achieve its goal.
Conclusion
A successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 would make India the fourth country — after the United States, the Soviet Union, and China — to achieve the feat.
ISRO is doing great in indian space exploration & research. i love ISRO. Thanks for sharing
